Community combines ACP and SuperMimic just 10 days after release to make humanoids climb stairs
ChongZzZhang · x · 2026-11-02
Just 10 days after ACP and two weeks after SuperMimic were released, the community has reproduced a combined version: blending depth perception with predicted 9-dimensional reference contact flags to help humanoids climb up and down stairs, scale boxes, and recover after falls.
The reposting author notes the field is evolving at an unimaginable pace — yesterday's breakthrough becomes widely accessible tomorrow — and argues the real advantage now lies in how quickly people learn, exchange ideas, and build together. The original author admits the reimplementation speed was unexpected and their project is now behind.
