Frontier UI: open-source tool gives local LLMs in Open WebUI ChatGPT-style rich responses

A developer released Frontier UI (MIT licensed), an open-source tool that gives local LLMs in Open WebUI ChatGPT-style rich visual responses. It's literally one Python file you paste into Workspace → Tools — no extra inference services needed:
- Maps & routes: real street-level walking/driving routes (not coordinate lines), multi-day itineraries, one-click Google Maps handoff
- Photos & places: galleries via Wikipedia and SearXNG, sortable/filterable place cards
- Live data: weather, stocks, crypto, currency charts — no API keys
- Interactive components: budget sliders, calculators, sortable tables, charts, comparisons
- Exports: real Word/Excel/PowerPoint/PDF files via the open-source ArtCraft apps
- Extras: Gmail drafts, calendar events, Open WebUI Notes
- Power move: self-host the entire planet map with Protomaps (140 GB, runs fine off a regular HDD), removing third-party tile dependencies
The author runs it locally with Qwen 3.8 Flash Next; any tool-calling model should work. The philosophy: not making the model smarter, just making answers more useful visually.
