Claude now blocks game cloning and reverse-engineering, catching legitimate developers too
SnoozeDoggyDog · reddit · 2026-11-01
Per Tom's Hardware, users report that Anthropic's Claude is blocking video game recreation/cloning requests, and even non-malicious generic reverse-engineering tasks are refused — affecting legitimate developers and basic troubleshooting workflows.
The guardrails appear overly broad: benign compatibility analysis and debugging tasks also trigger refusals, raising concerns about false-positive rates in Claude's safety filters.
