Kimi models a JoyToy bike from one photo near-identically — while Claude refuses the same task
minchoi · x · 2026-11-01
thebuggeddev ran a more complex 3D modeling test with Kimi K3.1 Pro: given one photo of a JoyToy bike plus bpy instructions, the generated model came out almost identical to the reference, using under 1% of the total session quota.
Notable details:
- With the same instructions, Claude flagged the bike as someone else's content and refused to model it; Kimi happily complied
- Ask it to make the bike drive and it added the mechanism — but drove the wheels in the opposite direction, exposing gaps in physical/mechanical understanding
