Developer ditches Gemini CLI over API-only billing, says it breaks his agent workflow

Developer Rob LeClerc, who subscribes to both Codex and Claude and often uses their CLIs to talk to each other and farm out work, complains that Google's Gemini App subscription only allows CLI usage via API billing.
He calls it a deal breaker: subscribers can't use Gemini CLI within their plan the way Codex and Claude CLIs work in everyday agent workflows.
