Professors Mengdi Wang (Princeton) and Kuang Xu will co-deliver the Omega Rho Distinguished Keynote at INFORMS 2026 in San Francisco (Nov 1), presenting LabOS: an AI-XR co-scientist that unites computational reasoning with physical experimentation.
LabOS combines multimodal perception, self-evolving agents, and XR-enabled human-AI collaboration, connecting AI agents, smart glasses, and robots so AI can see what scientists see, understand experimental context, and directly assist in lab work — a proposed paradigm for the "labs of the future" accelerating scientific discovery.
