Mistral releases possibly the best open-weight coding model, topping coding benchmarks
IsForAt · x · 2026-10-31
Per @itsPaulAi, Mistral has released what may be the best open-weights coding model yet: it beats Kimi, DeepSeek, and GLM on Terminal Bench 4, ranks 1st on Cognition's private FrontierCode 2.0, and uses fewer tokens per task.
The model is already available on Hugging Face and via API (model name and details pending official confirmation, as this is a retweet).
