Dev builds open-source Linux OS for toddlers, with LLM agents generating custom kids' activities
orblabs · reddit · 2026-10-31
A game developer with 20 years of experience released Greia, a full Linux-based operating system designed for 3-5 year olds, now open source on GitHub. It ships with 45 activities (reading, math, science, logic, creative apps) that share content between apps, plus a web-based parent dashboard for installing activities and setting screen-time limits. Its standout feature: a full set of agent skills, design guidelines, shared assets and tooling so parents can prompt an LLM agent to generate custom activities, with local voice models for narration.
