Anthropic quietly ships server-side rule banning game rewrites in Claude Code
petrusenko_max · x · 2026-10-31
Anthropic reportedly slipped a new rule into Claude Code around Oct 27, shipped server-side under the flag "tenguheronbrook", with no way to turn it off. Building original games and working within existing genres remain fine, but rebuilding a specific existing game is now disallowed—renaming it or calling it original doesn't change that. The move raises questions about the future of game rewrites, modding, and the gray zone between them.
