Non-coder builds 100-star Android TV launcher entirely with Claude

rajupp announced his project Talkies crossed 100 stars on GitHub. Having not written code in nearly two decades, he started it as a home screen for his own TV: he described what he wanted, tested on his TV, and Claude wrote the code. "For non-coders, that changes what's possible."
Talkies is an ad-free, lightweight (220 KB) launcher for Android TV / Google TV with a customizable home screen, content recommendations, weather, and live cricket scores. Now open source with 15 releases and 12 forks, it's actively seeking beta testers.
A representative case of vibe coding turning a non-programmer into an open-source maintainer.
