Anthropic IPO seen closer to $1.5T than $2T, early employee stakes swing 52x
FinanceYF5 · x · 2026-10-30
Investors have tempered expectations, and Anthropic's IPO is now looking more like a $1.5T valuation than $2T. Based on round prices from the S-1 (split-adjusted for the 10-for-1 split, $87/share at $1.5T), the same $1M stock grant is worth wildly different amounts depending on grant date:
- 2023: $78M
- 2024: $29M
- Early 2025: $16M
- Late 2025: $6.2M
- Early 2026: $3.4M
- Summer 2026: $1.5M
That's a 52x swing across three years. At a $2T valuation, add 36% to each figure (the 2023 grant would be $105M). Nominal math only—before taxes, strike costs, and vesting.
