REA gives coding agents the tools to reverse engineer apps down to native binaries
shaunralston · x · 2026-10-30
REA (rea.tools) is a new toolkit that equips coding agents like Claude Code and Codex with reverse-engineering abilities: the agent can inspect the code behind an app, game or website, observe what the program does at runtime, explain how a feature works, and help rebuild it.
- Setup is a single command: npx rea-agents@latest setup
- Showcase demo: decompiling Windows Calculator, tracing x64 branches and calls to recover why 200 + 10% yields 220
- Also supports recording web apps to build RL environments for agent training
