Flashy UI memory systems won't survive: 2% retrieval failure is already fatal
StewartalsopIII · x · 2026-10-30
GolerGkA argues that memory systems and "second brains" launched with flashy UIs like visual knowledge graphs won't make it in the real world: real knowledge substrate is too complex for visualization to help, and too complex for a single busy agent to parse. Ingesting, processing, and retrieving knowledge are all hard — if it feels easy, you're cutting corners and will cap out around 98% accuracy, and a 2% failure rate is more than enough to cause serious problems.
