Google to shut down coding agent Jules on Dec 31, 2026, steering users to Antigravity
wunderwuzzi23 · x · 2026-10-30
Google has announced it is winding down Jules, its asynchronous coding agent, on December 31, 2026. From November 11, 2026, Jules becomes read-only while users wrap up sessions.
Google says the experiment taught the company where agentic development is headed, and that those learnings now shape products across Google — in particular its agent-first platform Google Antigravity, which supports long-running agents on complex tasks — where users are being directed to continue building.
