Building a search-enabled 3-panel reading UI with Opus 5.5, tested live on stream
sh_reya · x · 2026-10-30
The author live-tested newly added search in a custom three-panel (focus + context/overview + detail) reading UI. It wasn't perfect but surfaced 2-3 relevant passages in real time during the stream. The build was iterated with Opus 5.5 via concrete feedback — e.g., adding a top TLDR panel that summarizes whichever section or sub-section is selected — and the model produced the next version; the author is still evaluating whether TLDRs help or hurt search.
