ECX open-sourced: full Claude Code + Codex setup with shared memory, 17 skills, 17 hooks
cneuralnetwork · x · 2026-10-29
A dual-degree student open-sourced ECX (everything claude codex), his AI dev setup refined over 11 months and 51 public repos — MIT licensed, installs in 30 seconds.
Highlights:
- Claude Code and Codex share one memory (voice input included): tell Codex a codeword and Claude knows it a minute later
- 17 skills, 17 hooks, and 3 search engines over personal notes (Obsidian-based)
- Phone access with the laptop shut, for directing agents remotely
- A "doctor" that catches silent failures — inspired by a safety guard that silently did nothing for months, teaching him to test everything
Motivation: every session started from zero, and he spent more time explaining himself to the AI than building.
