Google opens Connected Apps: ship an MCP server to get into Gemini and Search

Google has opened Connected Apps: developers can wrap their product as an MCP server to get into Gemini, with Search integration promised in weeks. Currently US developers only.
A SaaS founder's playbook: package core features as an MCP server, submit to MCP directories (levelsio is already doing it), and write docs/API pages so AI can understand them — or AI won't recommend you. Same logic as the old directory-submission era.
