exe.dev sandboxes boot from custom OCI images, opening the door to NixOS
davidcrawshaw · x · 2026-10-29
The exe.dev team confirmed its sandboxes support custom images: new --image=<url-to-public-OCI> boots into that image, with the /exe.dev dir injected into the container for the guestd daemon.
That means a NixOS image should work, enabling reproducible environments for agent workflows — a handy non-obvious usage for developers.
