Microsoft launches Copilot harness in Foundry Agent Service for no-code long-running agents
DanWahlin · x · 2026-10-29
Microsoft introduced the Microsoft Copilot harness in Foundry Agent Service (public preview), alongside general availability of long-running resilience for hosted agents.
Key points:
- A unified harness strategy: the same execution foundation optimized across GitHub, Microsoft 365, and Copilot scenarios, letting teams build agents for complex, long-running enterprise tasks with no code
- Developers pick any supported model and choose how much of the agent stack to build themselves — context, tools, execution environment and controls come assembled
- Security and governance handled within Foundry
