Davis Paipa shared that Google's AI search sent roughly 6,000 merchants to the Shopify agencies featured on his blog in 90 days. Top markets: Germany (by far the largest), France, Spain, New York, the UK, New Zealand, Italy, Australia, and Poland.
His team runs 9 Shopify apps, yet none of the app pages see demand anywhere near this. AI answer surfaces are becoming a major new acquisition channel for agency-services demand — a replicable signal for indie SEO/AEO plays.
