Oracle adds image-aware memory to AI agents, keeping screenshots and receipts across sessions

Oracle released AI Agent Memory 26.8, giving agents image-aware memory: screenshots, receipts, and product photos persist as context across sessions, with originals stored in Oracle AI Database alongside descriptions and metadata.
The key design: search works through text, not pixel similarity. Raw image bytes stay out of default search results and readback, keeping routine retrieval lightweight. Agents find stored images via natural-language queries, and applications can hydrate the original bytes when needed for inspection or display.
Messages preserve text and image parts in original order. Example: a customer returning to a support chat about checkout timeouts gets the agent to recall their earlier error screenshot.
