Sequoia, Citi and OpenAI launch No Limit: build a poker bot in 60 minutes, $100K grand prize

Sequoia, Citigroup Securities and OpenAI announced No Limit, a bot-building tournament where teams of 1-2 must build a poker AI from scratch in 60 minutes, with agents playing thousands of games across six scored rounds. Open to university students and 2025/2026 grads; regionals in Boston, Pittsburgh and the Bay Area in early November, with the top five teams per region advancing to a finals with a $100K grand prize. Context: MIT's one-month winter course 6.9630 has long had students build competing poker AIs — coding agents have now compressed that to roughly an hour.
