PSI's AI research system cracks 5 quantum problems; ~1000 physics papers may follow

Paul Scherrer Institute reports its researchers, working with an in-house AI research system, made progress on 5 open problems in quantum information theory — spanning entanglement, quantum correlations, and causality. Examples: showing three copies of a specified family of quantum states cannot yield usable Bell pairs in every local dimension ≥3, and a quantum field model where two regions stay entangled at any distance though Bell violations become undetectable beyond finite separation. The post also speculates that, following OpenAI's math-release pattern, a batch of 1000 similar AI-assisted physics papers could drop within weeks.
