CFGeek · x · 2026-10-27
AI safety eval org METR is hiring a Member of Policy Staff (Government Affairs) in Washington D.C. The role will be METR's point of contact for the executive branch, national security community, and Congress, communicating its loss-of-control risk assessments. METR has begun embedding researchers inside frontier labs to investigate incidents, stress-test agent monitoring systems, and assess internal deployment risks — which it expects to become "one of the most important sources of independent information the world has about catastrophic risk from advanced AI."
