GuardCell: open-source on-device AI Outlook add-in checks emails for sensitive data before send
brandon_galang · x · 2026-10-27
Developer James Dimachkie released GuardCell, an Apache-2.0-licensed Outlook add-in that inspects outgoing email on-device at send time and asks for confirmation before sensitive content like passwords or card numbers leaves the company — "spell-check for Send."
- Runs fully on-device (ONNX Runtime + OCR), so sensitive content never leaves the machine
- Targets enterprise data-loss-prevention use cases; code, architecture docs and evaluation are public on GitHub
