Kimi Code v1.1.3 stops agents from auto-launching swarms; now opt-in only
KimiDevs · x · 2026-10-25
Kimi shipped Kimi Code Desktop v1.1.3 with a notable behavior change: agents can no longer launch AgentSwarm on their own. Swarm mode is now strictly opt-in — swarms only run when explicitly enabled, and are no longer available in kimi -p or ACP clients such as Zed. By default the agent completes tasks solo, with delegation only on explicit request.
