Viajante: Open-Source MCP Server Scrapes Real Flight and Hotel Prices, No API Keys
Fast_Entrance7839 · reddit · 2026-10-25
Developer released viajante, an MIT-licensed MCP server that runs locally and reads Google Flights, Google Hotels, Booking.com (and optionally Skiplagged), handing agents real prices and links with no API keys.
- 22 tools: flexible dates, explore-from-airport, hotels, flight+hotel bundles, and a pre-booking recheck since prices move
- Never returns fares not on the page; split tickets and hidden-city routing off by default (unprotected connections)
- Real finds: Madrid–Auckland round trip for €819 in February, Tokyo–Honolulu for €206
- Install via pip install viajante or @viajante/mcp; breaks when third-party sites change their pages
