Solo dev runs a persistent AI engineering team with open-source AIPass
Input-X · reddit · 2026-10-25
A solo developer describes a persistent multi-agent workflow built on open-source AIPass: he talks only to DevPulse, a 'tech lead' agent that plans, dispatches, and reviews work. Persistent specialist agents (@hooks, @memory, @aimail, @flow) each own a subsystem with their own identity, memory, mailbox, code, tests, and history. DevPulse dispatches tasks, arms a Watchdog, and sleeps to save tokens, waking to review, test, and integrate results in a continuous daily cycle, with scheduling bounded by CPU capacity. Agent state lives in ordinary directories, independent of AI sessions, and the team is integrating Codex alongside Claude Code so the same agent can work across model providers. The author says he's now the bottleneck — the system moves more work than he can personally review.
