Row-Bot 5.3 ships embedded browser, tiered approvals and 40% lighter context for local-first agent
Acceptable-Object390 · reddit · 2026-10-25
Open-source desktop agent Row-Bot 5.3.0 is out for Windows, macOS and Linux, staying local-first with your own models.
- Embedded browser: live page pane beside chat with Take control/Give back, sign-in persists across restarts; it asks before paying, posting, deleting or uploading, and never types passwords, codes or card numbers.
- Rebuilt computer use: real mouse and keyboard, a check after every step, on-screen Stop bar plus Esc to abort.
- Sandboxed interactive pages with no internet and no access to chats/files/tools; question cards work in Telegram, Discord, Slack and WhatsApp.
- Tiered approvals: Auto is reviewed by the chat's own model, Hands-off is opt-in, anything posted to X always needs the user.
- Lighter context: 40% less content sent to the model before the first message; tool guides load on demand.
- Also: background dev servers and long jobs, video editing, file sync across devices, Outlook via your own Microsoft Entra app, multiple X accounts, Claude through your own Claude Code.
