Musk warns of 'stranded compute' in partially built data centers as GPU rental prices soar 2-3x

Elon Musk replied to an industry anecdote predicting lots of "stranded compute" in partially completed data centers.
The quoted post, from a neolab contact, said: "Even if we fail to train the best model, we locked in GPU capacity early. H100/B200/B300 rental prices have since gone up 2–3x. We can just resell the compute and print money." Musk's take: "So that's the business model" — implying the current GPU hoarding rush could end with massive idle capacity.
