Audi taps Agile Robots, Dassault and NVIDIA to test mobile humanoids in factory logistics
CyberRobooo · x · 2026-10-24
Audi, Agile Robots, Dassault Systèmes and NVIDIA announced a proof-of-concept at GTC Berlin to automate parts sequencing at Audi's Ingolstadt plant using mobile humanoids — a process tied to roughly one million daily picks that keep parts flowing to the right workstation in the right order.
Notably, Agile Robots uses a wheeled humanoid, pairing a mobile base with upper-body manipulation instead of a bipedal design. Before real-world deployment, the team is building a virtual twin of the logistics environment with Dassault's DELMIA on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, leveraging Industry World Models and NVIDIA Omniverse libraries to validate feasibility, timing, ergonomics and safety. Dassault's AI Virtual Companion LEO is expected to cut the process from months to days.
