Home-trained Microduck robot walks down steps and hills in one gait, trained on an RTX 5090
alexcovo_eth · x · 2026-10-24
Maker witcheer showed off a new mixed-floor walk for his Microduck robot: one gait handles 25mm steps, gentle hills, slippery floors, and shoves twice as hard as default training, with no gait switching — captured in a single take.
Training runs entirely in simulation on a home RTX 5090, with a Hermes Agent queueing training runs, testing every walk, and publishing each to Hugging Face. Both walks are free to download.
