Audi tests wheeled humanoids from Agile Robots for factory logistics, with NVIDIA and Dassault support
CyberRobooo · x · 2026-10-24
Audi is working with Agile Robots to test mobile humanoid robots at its Ingolstadt plant, with Dassault Systèmes and NVIDIA supporting. Key points:
- Wheeled base + upper-body manipulation: on flat factory floors, wheels beat legs; what matters is handling varied parts, keeping pace, and cost
- First task: bin picking and parts sequencing for vehicle assembly; Audi logistics handles 1 million picks a day
- Dassault and NVIDIA are building a digital twin of the logistics environment to simulate and validate workflows before real-world expansion
- Still a proof of concept, not full-scale deployment
