Enact emerges from stealth with $30M pre-seed to teach robots force and touch
ylecun · x · 2026-10-24
Robotics startup Enact has launched from stealth with a $30M pre-seed round backed by redalpine, Notion Capital, First Minute Capital, plus individuals including Yann LeCun and Mistral CEO Arthur Mensch. The company argues vision and language are becoming commodities, but mastering thousands of fine manipulation tasks requires more than a visual cortex. Enact is building an artificial nervous system that lets robots sense force and touch in real time through their own actuators — no fragile extra sensors — aiming at high-variance, high-value automation tasks.
