Addressing the rumor that Figure's Hugo humanoid is built on top of a Unitree G1, the author argues the speculation rests on a flimsy match: someone saw "43 DOFs" and assumed it was the G1's 43-DOF "ultra" hand variant. But Hugo lacks dexterous five-finger hands — the extra DOFs likely come from facial features like the eyes and from its hand design, not from dexterous grippers.
