MCP can't talk to A2A: a PoC bridge reveals why agent interoperability is hard
NAN_Nexusasianetwork · reddit · 2026-10-22
A multi-agent developer built an open-source PoC bridging MCP and A2A agents — three layers (Discovery, SHA-256 Verification, Arbitration), zero dependencies, runs in 60 seconds, Apache 2.0, with 3 known-gap issues filed.
Key lessons: discovery is the hardest problem (the internet had DNS; agents have nothing); trust needs a neutral layer (SHA-256 proves integrity, not identity — Ed25519 signatures and transport are still missing); and the arbitration gap is real — when AI agents transact, no one has solved dispute resolution. Explicitly not production-ready; shared to spark community discussion.
