Menlo Ventures ranks #3 in Stanford's 2026 AI VC ranking two years after Deedy joined
FinanceYF5 · x · 2026-10-22
Stanford professor Ilya Strebulaev's 2026 AI Venture Ranking places Menlo Ventures #3 overall and #1 among firms under $25B AUM — two years after nearly everyone thought Deedy had made a mistake joining. With only 20 investors Menlo backed 50 unicorns, rebuilding around a low-frequency, high-conviction strategy with bets on Anthropic, OpenRouter, Lovable, Suno, Fireworks, Higgsfield, Wispr, Modal, Legora and OpenEvidence. As the author notes, in VC you're only as good as your next deal.
