He built a 24/7 AI news network with Claude Code — then an explorable pixel open world around it

A developer used Claude Code (Opus 5.5) to build a 24/7 AI television network: real headlines, AI anchors, and multiple shows running around the clock. An earlier post about the project went viral, so he kept building.
The twist: he decided he wanted to live inside it. Around the newsroom he added a city, a pub, a bowling alley, cars, a racetrack, apartments, an airport, a tropical island, a mountain lodge, and entire neighborhoods. Viewers can now step into the world — meet people, explore, buy a car, catch a flight, or sit in the pixel pub watching the same news channel that started it all, while the anchors keep broadcasting (Chet still can't remember Dana's name).
He says none of it was planned as a metaverse or game — he just followed whatever was fun to build, running everything from his house. A trailer is out and he's taking questions on how it works.
