Gakku's AI tutor bets on not automating the part where kids actually learn
LinusEkenstam · x · 2026-10-21
- Linus Ekenstam argues the biggest mistake in AI education is automating the part where the child learns — the questions, wrong turns, and retries. Gakku, for ages 6-16, builds around live conversations with AI companion Raku to practice writing, speaking and thinking.
- The design highlight: when a child changes their mind mid-flow, the interface becomes part of the thinking — kids can interrupt, revise ideas and make on-screen choices while Raku keeps conversation, visuals and mission progress in sync.
