VIPerturb-seq Update: 10x Genomics to Commercialize Single-Cell CRISPR Screening Tech
anshulkundaje · x · 2026-10-23
Two updates on VIPerturb-seq from the Satija lab: an updated preprint with Caleb Lareau introducing RNA-marker-based enrichment of VIPs before sequencing, and news that 10x Genomics is releasing a commercial VIPerturb-seq product.
The technology aims to improve the cost, data quality, and efficiency of single-cell CRISPR perturbation screens, making genome-wide screens accessible to any lab. The preprint is on bioRxiv from authors at the New York Genome Center, NYU, and Sloan Kettering.
