AI startup Humansand announced Ampersand, its first "collaborator model" designed to help people achieve individual and collective goals, available to everyone via API.
- Ampersand was trained against Persimmon on long-horizon, open-ended tasks.
- The company claims that in multi-month simulations, users collaborating with Ampersand accomplished more than with Fable and other frontier models.
- The release is the result of a large team effort, with several team members credited by the announcement author.
