Jev decision models add image inputs in preview, with new Box bounding-box question type
weswinder · x · 2026-10-21
Jev decision models now support image inputs (in preview), opening up a wave of new multimodal ideas for builders. The docs showcase a new Box question type:
- Box is a System One question type for locating something in an image, returning the smallest bounding rectangle as four edges given as fractions of the image's width and height
- Use cases include finding a mug on a counter, a signature on a scanned form, or a person at the door
- Requests need the TypeSafe-Danger-Zone-Images: true header and jev-preview or jev-1.14.0 as the model
- Officially labeled "Dreamer-ready": formats, answers and limits may change between releases, and accuracy will shift as models update
Combined with earlier multi-object detection demos using Jev loops with feedback, image support significantly expands multimodal decision-model workflows.
