Dev turns IKEA's top 20 manuals into 3D assembly guides with Opus 5.5 + Jig
Roger_M_Taylor · x · 2026-10-21
A developer built an app on Opus 5.5 + Jig that turns any PDF into interactive 3D instructions — and made IKEA's top 20 furniture manuals his first target. The whole workflow is just a PDF plus the prompt "/assembly".
- Jig is a platform for 3D explainers of anything, already hosting remixable demos like a Game Boy teardown, washing machine internals, and escalator anatomy.
- The author jokes: either he gets sued by IKEA, or humanity finally gets the instructions it deserves. Anyone can make their own for free.
