whatsapp-mcp: Open-Source MCP Server Lets Claude Search Your WhatsApp on Cloudflare
shauntrennery · x · 2026-10-19
Developer finereli released whatsapp-mcp, an open-source (MIT) read-only MCP server with 195 GitHub stars that runs on your own Cloudflare Workers account.
- Linking works like WhatsApp Web: pair your phone once, then any MCP client (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, etc.) can search and read your chats
- Supports cross-chat message search and remembers nicknames you assign to phone numbers
- Read-only by design — it cannot send messages
- Everything stays in your own Cloudflare account, no third-party data exposure
Example queries: "What did Dana say about the flights?" or "Find every message mentioning the lease across all my chats."
