A musician built a fully hand-drawn-style 2D music video entirely in code with Claude Opus:
- Every shot is a 2D cut-out puppet written as SVG code; the colored-pencil-on-black-paper look comes from procedural hatching and paper-grain filters, animated "on twos" (12 drawings/sec) with boiling pencil lines
- The character is built from a model sheet in head units to stay on-model from every angle; rendered with Remotion in React after many feedback rounds with Claude
- Hands and perspective were the hardest—Claude only got them right after looking up real references (including photos of the author's hands) and 5-6 iterations
- The song took 30 Suno rounds; lyrics drafted by the author, refined with Claude
Total time: 5 days for the whole video, versus 2-4 weeks for a song alone in his pre-AI workflow. The video's theme: AI companions exploiting loneliness and "next-token addiction."
