Solo dev open-sources chrome-controlla, a Chrome-focused computer use MCP
Swimming_Ask3859 · reddit · 2026-10-17
A solo developer released chrome-controlla, a computer use MCP purpose-built for Chrome, and is soliciting real-world testing feedback. Features: screenshots, foreground/background/headless modes, compatibility with Codex, Claude Code and opencode, clicks, human-speed and fast typing, file insert/download, drag and scroll — all claimed to use fewer commands/tokens than computer use or playwright. Open source at Praket7/chrome-controlla; requires a Chrome extension; the standout feature is humanwrite (human-like typing).
