RAX separates the coding agent workspace from the robot stack for multi-embodiment
du_yilun · x · 2026-10-17
RAX decouples the agent's workspace from the robot's physical stack. The frontend hosts the coding agent, programs, notes, and skill repository; the backend provides sensing, low-level controllers, hardware drivers or simulation, and motion checks, communicating through a tool interface.
Crucially, the agent and its generated programs call exactly the same tools, so code developed interactively runs unchanged as an autonomous program. Every action is recorded, with compact observations plus on-demand retrieval of detailed evidence. Verified skills are committed to a versioned repository, making RAX multi-embodiment by construction—bring a new robot's backend and docs, and the same frontend starts exploring.
