Fintech HR built a sourcing agent on 60,000 past applicants — 30 qualified candidates in a month

A fintech talent lead built a recruiting agent trained on 60,000 past ATS applicants with interview/hiring outcomes. Running on Claude Code, it writes its own search hypotheses, pulls and enriches 25 candidates per query via Crustdata, scores them with the custom model, and tracks cost per 8+ candidate — dropping failing hypotheses. After 300 credits it autonomously found patterns, e.g. targeting alumni of a specific Brazilian bank. Results: 30 highly qualified candidates in a month, 8 offers out. Caveats: the model inherits past-hire bias, and roles with sparse history still need manual work.
