ERP•AI launches headless SaaS with $0 seats that bills machines: $1 buys 4,000 record writes

ERP•AI has launched a business software platform built for agents, arguing that AI agents—not humans—are becoming the main users of enterprise software, so pricing should be metered by machine usage.
The pricing model:
- Seats, apps, roles, permissions and manual record entry cost $0 per seat
- API access, imports, workflows, agents and AI usage draw down prepaid credits ($5/$20/$100 packs; new accounts get $100 valid for 1 month)
- $1 buys 4,000 record writes, 2,000 workflow runs or 2,000 agent executions; AI calls are billed at the model's exact cost plus an 8% agent fee
Most metered work runs through Proto, a desktop agent that sets up data, approvals, permissions and dashboards from a plain description. The founding team calls this "Headless SaaS"—business software designed for agents, potentially signaling the end of seat-based enterprise pricing.
