Claude Desktop update drops 'Group by Project' in sessions sidebar, regression reported
T882200 · ghdev · 2026-10-15
A new issue in anthropics/claude-code (#102157, labeled invalid) reports a regression in Claude Desktop 2.37337.1 on Windows: the sessions sidebar's "Group by → Project" option — which auto-grouped sessions by working directory — has been removed, leaving only None/Status/Date/Environment, with no project/folder filter.
The reporter notes "Environment" lumps all local sessions into one group, and manual "New section" sorting doesn't auto-place new sessions. The issue asks for restoring the option or adding a folder filter; it has 6 reactions and 5 comments.
